Divorce can get complicated with all its legal and financial details and disagreements. Its no wonder that you are seeking divorce help and divorce support. The most important piece of information to learn from the get-go about how to get a divorce is that the outcome depends on you. Your willingness to negotiate and seek mediation can actually make it a low cost divorce. It might even turn out to be an easy divorce if you stay flexible, yet firm about your rights.
Going through a trial is seldom a good idea, particularly with regard to women and divorce. Financially, men usually have the upper hand since they are traditionally the bread-winners and, as such, they usually get paid more. That gives them more buying power to hire the better lawyer; if the case goes to trial, a wife in this sort of situation usually finds herself headed toward financial ruin. For this reason, life after a divorce trial can be even harder than it was before.
Here is a little divorce advice that will make coping with divorce less difficult: spare yourself and your children the headachemediate.
Mediation gives both parties the power to negotiate alimony, child support, custody and an equitable division of assets and liabilities. In this way, you can use any divorce information you acquire to increase your negotiating power.
When trying to negotiate a good divorce settlement, keep the following in mind:
When you are not satisfied with any of your spouses terms, prepare a logical rebuttal, rather than get defensive and emotional. By all means, speak up!
Be willing to try and consider your soon-to-be-estranged spouses wellbeing.
If things get ugly, remember that a change in your approach (yes, its hard) can turn things around 180 degrees.
Just do your best to avoid having the case go to trial. The benefits of mediating your own agreement include keeping your marital problems confidential, sparing yourself of open court proceedings and the related costs, speeding up the process and not to mention helping to make it all easier on the kids.

Divorce - How to Survive Financially When considering divorce and its financial consequences, it may at times seem hard to believe that anyone can survive it. Vengeful wives have been known to max out their husbands credit cards prior to a divorce settlement and deadbeat dads have been known to refuse to pay alimony and child support. The consequences can be devastating and nightmaris... Why Drafting A Settlement Agreement Is The Most Important Thing You Can Do For Your Divorce Clients If you are a Legal Document Assistant, mediator, or financial planner who provides divorce services in California, you probably know that the settlement agreement is the heart of your clients case. The Importance of Choosing the Right Divorce Lawyer Choosing the right divorce attorney may have a huge long-term impact when it comes to coping with divorce, as financial stress may be lessened if you receive sound divorce advice. Therefore, hiring a competent professional attorney can mean the difference between a low-cost divorce and drawn-out divorce proceedings that seem to have no end in sight... Contested And Uncontested Divorce A divorce case is contested if the parties cannot agree on every one of the issues involved in their particular situation. Common areas of disagreement include, but are not limited to: grounds for divorce, custody of the children, visitation rights, division of the assets of the marriage, child support, maintenance (alimony), payment of family debt... Understanding A Fault Divorce Settlement The total number of reasons for a divorce between two people who said "I do" awhile back are too numerous to count. The courts and the state would prefer that they try to work things out, which is one of the reasons that marriage counseling services are made available at minimal cost or even for free in many places. A marriage is also a legal entit... Divorce Lawyers See Their Clients Through Trying Times It may be the one lawyer everyone hopes they never need, but sadly each year millions of people do. With nearly half of all marriages ending in divorce, divorce lawyers have no shortage of potential clients. When a marriage dissolves there is far more to it than simply breaking up and moving out. Both parties must often endure a long and emotionall... Dealing with the Stress of Divorce Any life transition can be stressful; and of all the stressful situations life puts us in, coping with divorce is one of the most difficult of all, particularly when you find yourself trying to juggle everyday activities with your child and divorce proceedings. It can, indeed, be quite a mental and emotional challenge. There are a few things to try ...

Tell me a story, Mommy, my daughter demanded night after night. Her enthusiasm for stories continued to grow as she grew into an avid reader and frequent moviegoer. I suspect our thirst for a good story is never quenched throughout the ages.
Storytelling has long been a useful forum for teaching and learning. Maybe Christ Jesus believed this — he frequently taught spirituality through similitude and parables using themes, settings and characters his audience could most relate to. His lessons still capture our attention today and give us reason for reflection.
Perhaps we should not be so surprised that religious themes and imagery are appearing in popular cultures medium for storytelling — from books to films to television to music to technology.
There is a growing awareness of the impact of storytelling. Many religion and philosophy professors argue that fictional books and movies can lead to a deeper faith and understanding of ones spirituality.
This summers movies, The Da Vinci Code and X-Men: The Last Stand are only the beginning. Coming soon are Superman Returns, Click, and Lady in the Water. Flicks like these touch on spirituality through such themes as connection, sacrifice, redemption and reconciliation. Topics worthy of consideration, I would say.
My own spiritual journey took on more serious focus a long time ago in a theater far, far away.”
It was a day I will never forget. It was one of those unsuspected, defining moments of my life. I saw movies most every weekend, but Star Wars was unlike any movie I had ever seen.
In 1977, I was a freshman in college. My interests were boys and having fun. That was pretty much it. At that point in time, an education or a career were not high priorities. Nor were things spiritual. I probably went to see Star Wars swept up by the anticipation hype of the day with my friends. All I know is I saw it not once, not twice, but dozens of times.
In Bill Moyers interview with the director, George Lucas, Lucas said he hoped the Force would awaken a certain kind of spirituality in young people — one that was more about a belief in God than a belief in any particular religious system. One that would simply make young people think. Well, his hope proved true for me.
I can honestly say that in 1977, it was the first Star Wars episode that prompted me to think more spiritually and to broaden my perceptions to consider how one action begets another. The Force reminded me of the Higher Power that unifies all creation. That all of creation has a purpose — including me! Yes, for me the Star Wars sagas were much more than mere tales of science fiction.
I found great hope in Anakin Skywalkers character — hope that promises no one is beyond help, that its never too late to change. The same kind of hope exemplified in the parable of the prodigal son told by Christ Jesus.
I think perhaps Anakins greatest flaw was fear. He became intoxicated by fear. Thus he was led to believe and do that which he should not. As he succumbed to his fear, Anakins doom was sealed. This reminded me of a statement made by Mary Baker Eddy, A mans fear, unconquered, conquers him, in whatever direction.
I was relieved and heartened by knowing he would be redeemed. His fall would not be the final chapter of his life.
From watching the Star Wars tales, Ive concluded that if fear is the answer to the question — what makes men do evil? — perhaps love is the answer to the question — what redeems us from evil? Love was certainly central to Anakins redemption.
Ive often thought about a simple, yet compelling, statement of Eddys — The time for thinkers has come. A statement that I believe is an imperative call for people in all ages. Why? Because all too often its possible to just accept an opinion, viewpoint or prognosis without question. Because we can sometimes get duped into a decision that is not the best for us.
Those six words — The time for thinkers has come — were engraved in my heart the first time I read them. I really like the idea of being an independent thinker. And I love anything that gives me reason to think.
There have been many stories told in books as well as on television and on the silver screen that have made me think and that have taught me helpful lessons through their imaginative tales of life and adventure.
Perhaps any storytelling forum that results in people pondering, even questioning and debating, religious beliefs and issues is a good thing.

Every corporate entity (or individually run business) should make it a priority to be socially responsible and give back to the community in which it operates.
Besides being the right thing to do, corporate giving enables you to reach your customers and prospects in an entirely different way than traditional marketing.
Who isnt tired of being bombarded by cute, clever and ultimately self-serving advertising messages? These days, we expect more out of those we choose to do business with. Showing that you care about more than the bottom line instills a feeling of good will in those you are trying to reach.
But what many companies dont realize is that their good deeds can also generate broad publicity coverage, further enhancing your corporate reputation and brand image.
Before you flinch in horror at the thought of getting media attention for your good deeds, let me tell you that not only is there nothing wrong with this, but you will also be further helping the non-profit. By generating publicity for yourself regarding your charitable work or contributions, you are also obtaining great media coverage for the non-profit, enhancing their credibility and increasing their exposure. Now thats a win/win!
Here are some tips to help you do good for a good cause, feel good about what youre doing and create good press for your company:
Target the right media.
Most major local newspapers and some local magazines have special sections devoted to non-profit news. In South Florida where I live, for example, these are referred to as the Society sections. These are the sections that you will want to send news to of your good deeds. They are more than happy to run items relating to for-profit companies helping non-profits. And, as I said before, by doing this you are also gaining more exposure for the non-profit, which further helps them out.
Always take photos.
Flip through the pages of your local Society sections, and youll see photos galore. Photos are, in fact, the lifeblood of these non-profit sections, and without them your press release will either not get printed or it will be lost in a sea of tuxedoed and bejeweled philanthropists smiling for the camera. When taking photos, make sure that they are well-staged (i.e. nice, tight shots, no distractions in the background, not too large a group in one photo, etc.). Also, be sure to clearly mark and identify every person in the photo, or it will not make it into print.
Dont think you have to be Bill Gates or Warren Buffet.
Lets face it, none of us, no matter how well we are doing, are going to be able to give away more than the GNP of some nations. But that should not deter you from giving at whatever level you are able to afford. There are many, many wonderful non-profit organizations within every community that are struggling each day just to keep their doors open and continue to provide their much-needed services. These organizations will be more than happy to accept whatever you are able to give.
Likewise, you will still be able to generate great publicity coverage, no matter what the size of your gift. The media sections that cover non-profits are usually more than happy to include all good works, not just the large financial sums.
However, for those that are hesitant to publicize the size of their financial gift, you do have other options. For example, some of my clients prefer to refer to their gift as a percentage of their days sales or to leave out the amount altogether. Both of these options are fine and should not hinder your ability to generate publicity coverage.
Be creative.
There are many different ways to support a good cause, and they will all earn you positive media coverage. Here are some examples:
Write a check. Writing a check and presenting it to the organization is the simplest way to give. When doing this, be sure to have your photo taken presenting the check to the head (or a higher up) of the organization. You can then submit this photo, along with a press release detailing your giving, to the media.
Donate your expertise. As a die-hard animal lover, there was never a question for me that I would donate my PR services to an animal organization. Just which organization became apparent when I adopted my dog Chase from our local no-kill animal shelter five years ago. Since that time I have been doing their publicity pro bono. Even though I dont have a million dollars to give them, the exposure my publicity services provides has been invaluable, and is something they never would have been able to afford if they had to pay for it.
Designate a giving day. Some businesses are by nature more geared toward this than others. I know of hair salons, boutiques, grocery stores and other such businesses that announce that on a specific date they will give away a certain percentage of that days proceeds to a specific charity. Doing so gives them a reason to market this to their customers via in-store displays, letters, e-mails, etc. in order to pump up the days sales.
Hold an event. You can also hold an event and donate all or a portion of the proceeds to your charity of choice. Again, this is a great way to get publicity, help a good cause, and also reach out to your customers in a unique way.
Many people love to peruse the Society sections each week, making them a great vehicle with which to reach out to your target audience and letting them know that not only does your company provide great products or services, but it also cares about being a good corporate citizen.
Creating a positive brand image by doing good for others is the ultimate win/win situation.

I think we all know of at least one player who carries in his bag a whole arsenal of clubs. And by that I mean 18 to 25 different clubs! The rules of golf state we are allowed to carry a max of 14 clubs. Using that rule as a guideline, which clubs should you carry in your bag?
The best answer to that question is it depends on your skill level.
A very good player (someone with a low handicap) will need to carry a few clubs that the high handicapper would be better off leaving at home.
The high handicapper (aka weekend player) might carry these in his bag:
3-wood
5-wood
7-wood
5-iron through 9-iron
Pitching wedge
Putter
Some people reading this might say, Hey, where’s the driver?
Truth is, most high handicappers cannot hit a driver with any accuracy or established distance. Playing a driver usually gets them into trouble with either a wicked slice or hook or diminished distance. If you can’t hit a driver with any skill, then leave it at home and use your smaller woods instead.
If you’re in the mid-range you may want to adjust your club selection as follows:
Driver
3-wood
5-wood
7-wood
4-iron through 9-iron
Pitching wedge
Sand wedge
Putter
I’ve included the driver here because mid-range players usually have spent some time practicing with thier drivers and can hit with it reasonably well. If they’re having a bad day on the tee, they can always go down to the 3 wood and still hit a good drive.
Low handicappers almost always know what clubs they need and those are the ones they carry.
One thing to keep in mind, however, is no matter what your skill level is, use the clubs that you are comfortable with. My suggestions are just that–suggestions. Nothing takes the place of club that feels right in your hand. Those are the clubs that you will play the best with, under most circumstances.

About 90% of the married respondents to a recent survey of the affluent plan to give a December holiday gift to their spouse, and the most frequent sources of the gifts will be traditional department stores (62%) and specialty retail stores (57%). Gift cards or money equivalents will be given by about 20% of the spouses.
About one in two said they have children under 18 to whom they will give gifts. Specialty retail stores (58%) will be the most frequent source of the gifts. Traditional department stores (55%) will be a close second, and the internet and discount department stores were essentially tied (at almost 50%). Gift cards or money equivalents will be given, about equally, by about 31% of the survey respondents.
Almost six in ten said they have children 18 and over to whom they will give gifts. Traditional department stores (57%), specialty retail stores (43%), and discount department stores (35%) will be the most frequent sources of the gifts. Gift cards or money equivalents will be given, mostly as cash or checks, by about 69% of the survey respondents.
About 80% of the respondents plan to give gifts to other relatives, and 62% will give gifts to friends. For both types of recipients, traditional department stores and specialty retail stores were named the first and second most frequent sources of gifts. For relatives, the internet was named third (39%) and for friends discount department stores were named third (37%). For both types of recipients, gift cards or certificates will be given to about by about 25% of the survey respondents.
For each type of recipient, catalogues were named as a source of gifts by about one in four of the respondents.
These results were obtained from the recently completed Fall 2005 Affluent Market Tracking Study #8 by The American Affluence Research Center. A continuing series of twice-yearly surveys, these studies track the 12- month economic outlook and spending plans of the wealthiest 10% of Americans, the 11 million households representing about half of all consumer income and spending and a third of the total US economy. These are the consumers who have helped the more upscale retailers to out perform others in recent years.
The survey participants were asked to rank their first, second, and third most important sources of gifts based on the total dollar value of gifts purchased.
Highlights of the national survey of 448 men and women in the wealthiest 10% of U.S. households can be found on the AARC website, www.affluenceresearch.org. The survey participants have an average income of $308,000 and an average net worth of $2.7 million. The survey has a 5% margin of error at the 95% confidence level.

It seems that the mantra from at least one person in a broken marriage is, What can I do to help stop my divorce? The answer to the help stop my divorce dilemma is that you cannot do anything to stop it unless both you and your spouse agree to work things out. If one partner in the marriage is adamant about ending it, the most you can hope for is prolonging the process and the agony. Any actions towards the help stop my divorce dilemma must be agreed upon by both spouses.
What can I do to help stop my divorce is a question that is on a lot of peoples minds. By asking it, you are at least showing a token commitment to try and change things in your marriage for the better. Now remember, both spouses must agree to this and put forth one hundred percent effort to work things out. The actual key to your help stop my divorce mantra will be different from other couples. There are a number of reasons why marriages start to crumble. Here are just a few of those reasons:
1. Family issues This could run the gamut of wanting/not wanting children or even the proverbial mother-in-law. Or it could be a family member who has outstayed his welcome in your home and has started causing friction in your marriage. At least with that particular problem, it is easy to move towards a solution to your help stop my divorce problem pack that family members bags and tell them to leave.
2. Infidelity or emotional straying This problem is a tougher nut to crack; however, it is not insurmountable. Both of you will have trust issues to deal with and that can take a long time to resolve. But if you are both committed to solving your help stop my divorce dilemma, then you should definitely try.
3. Money issues Financial problems are one of the biggest things that can make or break a marriage. Unless you sit down with one another BEFORE getting married to map out your philosophies on money, expect that at some point, you will be chanting that help stop my divorce mantra.
Remember, in order to solve the help stop my divorce dilemma, both of you have to agree to work hard and meet half way on the troubling issues. You cannot go through the motions just to keep the peace. Rather, expect that there will be tears and lots of compromises before you are at a point where divorce is no longer an option.
Another point to consider in the help stop my divorce challenge is how to solve the root of the problem. If alcoholism is at the root of the problem, the spouse with the problem must get help for it before the marriage can move forward. The same principle applies whether it is infidelity, gambling, or even cyber cheating on the Internet.
If you or your spouse has even talked about divorce but has not followed through yet, consider it a cry for help. If no follow-through has been achieved yet, chances are that there is still love there that can be tapped into in order to solve your help stop my divorce impasse.

With the price of T1 service dropping from its high point of roughly 20 years ago, its no wonder that more and more businesses are searching out and using this cost effective solution. Whether its voice, data, or a combination of voice and data, T1 service providers can satisfy your communications infrastructure requirements.
But where do you find an appropriate provider that offers a great price and support?
This is a great question. The biggest mistake is to base a purchasing decision on price alone. Beware of this. As most know, the net effect of any business purchase is the return on your investment. The cheap T1 service providers may be just that. A cheap cost for an oversold service that would be unable to provide the throughput advertised.
When making this important decision to build up (or out) your communications infrastructure, ask yourself some important questions.
a. If youre looking for a voice T1 service, what are your current requirements? (local/long distance, fax, toll-free service, number of lines needed, etc.)
b. If youre looking for a data T1 service, what is your objective? Web hosting, internet access for your employees, ASP, etc.
c. If youre looking for an integrated solution (voice and data) consider both points above.
Obviously these are some general considerations. There are also cost factors, time lines to implement, technical support, hardware requirements, contract time frames and extensibility issues to consider.
Whether you have an in-house technical staff or not, whatever provider you choose for service should be willing (and technical able) to work with you every step of the way to understand and provide the service that meets your needs.
So, how exactly do you find an objective third party to help you understand requirements, cost, support and extensibility?
A communications broker provides an objective look at your unique situation. Communication brokers work for you and not for any specific vendor. If you were to contact a specific vendor, their assistance would be geared towards a specific product or service they themselves offer. Their solution would be partly tailored based on what they themselves can provide. Using a communications broker removes that limitation by having access to products and services from many different vendors. Further, the communications broker can objectively evaluate your situation and design a solution that meets all your requirements and needs.
There are many T1 providers out there. Do yourself and your business a favor and use a communications broker to help you navigate the waters and build an infrastructure that will solve your immediate needs and provide the infrastructure that can handle the growth of your business. Whether you use our services or that of someone else, your business success is too important to leave in the hands of the cheap guys.

We have a little recommendation for you which. Something your mom will love and can use. Something that is both thoughtful and inexpensive. What are we referring to? A beautiful scented candle! Candles are often ignored items by most people. Though it is impressive how many people appreciate these items when given as gifts.
Candles can satisfy everyones tastes. Whether young or old, there is a candle out there that is perfect for everyone because scented candles come in all shapes, sizes and scents. You can get small candles to decorate with or even use in the bedroom or bathroom. Pillar candles are perfect to use with chandeliers and ornamental candle holders.
The best thing about candles is when they come in scents. Scented candles smell beautifully and have relaxing properties. Both mild and strong scents are available, to suit everyones taste and the mood one is trying to create. Candles are perfect for creating a relaxed atmosphere, maybe even when taking a bath.
Candles can be placed and use in many rooms in the household. The bathroom, the kitchen, the dining room. Though that is not all! Scented candles may also use used in the office. Who wouldnt want to create a relaxed atmosphere, when feeling stressed in the workplace?
Finally, candles are really inexpensive to buy. Of course you can splash out by buying some designer scented candle that could cost an arm and a leg, though you can get beautiful and good quality scented candles as a very good price.
So be different this Mothers Day! Instead of the usual flowers or chocolates, give your mom a scented candle this year.

Mediation in California is a form of alternative dispute resolution, or ADR, facilitated by a mediator, which allows parents of a child custody and visitation dispute an opportunity to resolve their disagreements without a litigated hearing. As pointed out in Family Code 3170, mediation is a mandatory process in California that must take place before a contested issue regarding custody and visitation is heard in a litigated hearing. Mediation has a specific purpose and mediators should adhere to certain guidelines and standards when conducting mediation.
Mediation Standards
There are certain standards that apply to mediation services. The rules for mediation are set forth in the California Rules of Court 5.210. Rule 5.210 applies to court-connected child custody mediation and addresses the authority of mediation, purpose of mediation, mediation definitions, Responsibility for mediation services, mediation process, training, continuing education, and experience requirements for mediator, mediation supervisor, and family court services director, education and training providers, and ethics as it relates to California mediators and California mediation.
Mediation Purpose
The purpose of mediation is to help the parents of a child custody dispute resolve their disagreements and build a parenting plan together in mediation that reflects the overall best interest of the children. The purpose of mediation is outlined in Family Code 3161.
Mediation Limitations
Mediation may not be able to help all parents work out their disputes. Some cases are too complex or far too acrimonious. In some cases, a parent will change his/her mind after signing an agreement in mediation. If you sign an agreement in mediation and later change your mind, you may be able to cancel your agreement by submitting your cancellation request to mediation services in writing. However, you will want to consult an attorney to learn how to properly cancel your agreement and the timeline upon which you can do it.
If you are involved in mediation you will want to consult an attorney in your area to help you learn about the mediation process, standards, purpose, your rights, and what mediators can and cannot do in mediation.
