Television - Changing Times & Satellite Movies
Television has changed over the past twenty five years. One time it receives only several channels from stations by antennae and there is always intermittent static and snow. Another time you get many channels by cable and it is more expensive than antennae. The best television era is with a satellite dish where you get hundreds of channels.
Speaking of channels, there are news channels that keep you informed on current events. The Weather Channel always talks about the weather and shows updates about it. Channels to keep the kids entertained and educated like Cartoon Network which broadcasts cartoons 24/7 and Noggin that has educational cartoons and shows.
There are movie channels like Turner Classic Movies that shows you even the oldest films commercial free, and the Encore series that have western, action, love, etc. One of the movies, Total Recall, is about a man in the future who searches for his past while making Mars breathable. Another is The Magnificent Seven, about two men in the old west hiring five more men to defend a small Mexican town from a large group of hoodlums who are also Mexican.
The latest thing I have noticed about satellite television is that it can be watched on the computer at home. All I have to do is install the dish, hook up the receiver to my computer, point the remote at the receiver and enjoy the shows and movies I like to watch. I bet others would like the idea of watching television on their computer at home as well.
