The airport has one main passenger terminal, but as Aberdeen is the largest oil-related centre in Europe, it has a commercial heliport with three terminals dedicated to North Sea helicopter operations carrying around 468,000 passengers every year. The airport is located 10 kilometres from the City Centre on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness Road.
The Arrivals Hall at the airport is relatively small with the taxi rank and car hire companies situated just outside. There are no shops, bars or restaurants here, but there are some once you get through security into the departures area. There is no train station or link to the rail network at the airport but the nearest station is only in Dyce, which is a couple of miles away.
